Adobe Photoshop Sucks

Please stop thinking Photoshop is the only digital art product in existence — sincerely a digital illustrator

Digital artists have a lot of potential tools at their fingertips — clients don’t realize this

I have been illustrating for about the past thirteen years of my life. I started with a plain old pen and pencil. For about seven of those years, I have been doing digital illustration as well. It’s been one heck of a rollercoaster finding my favorite programs and settling into them.

As someone who doesn’t use Adobe products, it is incredibly frustrating scrolling through clients looking for illustrators. Why? Adobe has successfully monopolized the business with clients — making them believe they are the only “good” program in existence for this type of art. This is a flat-out lie. There are numerous programs out there, regardless if you feel more comfortable illustrating 2-D or 3-D art pieces.

The programs I use for digital illustration are Infinite Painter, and Concepts. I am wanting to experiment with Krita to get more into simple animation as well. The primary difference between Infinite Painter and Concepts are the tools that the program comes with and what the art piece I have in mind would be best suited to, in regards to the tools.
