So you wanna do butt stuff but have no idea where to begin? Let this guide help you.

For starters, do not starve yourself — it takes an average of 4–9 hours for food to go from your mouth to your butt.
Seriously, if you absolutely can’t handle poop (an inherent risk to all anal activity), don’t do anal.

Enemas are not required.
If you’re really that worried, shower and do a gentle anal sweep of your bottom with your finger (put in one digital and gently sweep gesture). Lukewarm water and soap is really all that’s needed.

You need lube for beginners, period, end of the story.
Your butt can NOT naturally lubricate itself. It may produce mucus as a means to help move poop out naturally, but it is NOT a substitute for lubrication. I recommend a water based lube (equate lube, astroglide are two of my top recommendations) since water based has minimal risk of harming toys, protection means, etc.

NO NUMBING AGENTS, PERIOD!
Pain means something is wrong. You went up a size too quickly, you risk bleeding, etc. Just don’t do the numbing.
