I love the Life is Strange series. For those unaware, it is essentially a slice-of-life type game with strong underlying LGBTQ themes. While I deeply enjoyed Life is Strange, Life is Strange Before the Storm, and Life is Strange True Colors, I honestly was not impressed by Life is Strange Wavelengths. Wavelengths is a smaller DLC for True Colors that focuses solely on Steph, a popular character from Life is Strange and Before the Storm. Overall I give it 2/5 stars. It continues the strong art and musical style for the series, but seriously falls flat on its pacing and overall limited setting.

The setting is tiny. It takes place in the radio station/store that Steph has gotten herself hired in. We do a variety of small tasks related to running a radio station (reading off ads while on the air, playing music for the station) as well as small tasks around the shop (tidying up records, putting up posters on the wall, feeding the cat, taking down decorations, etc.).

As much as I love Steph (and fully understand this was meant more as a “see what Steph is doing between games”), I honestly felt completely bored by this DLC. I found myself dragging myself through the sections of the game. While the soundtrack and art style was very fitting for Life is Strange games, I felt…
