PRIDE (I am saying this as a queer person) was always a way to show the LGBTQ+ community is PRIDEFUL of being themselves and, in the word of The Handmaid's Tale, "Don't let the b!stards get you down".

The exact presentation of PRIDE depends COMPLETELY on the location, age restrictions in place, who can be there, etc. We are always educating the younger LGBTQ+ online to be careful about social events. We are always looking out for each other's safety. Yes, there's bad apples there, but this can be said about ANY social gathering.
