Sometimes you just gotta cut it out, the story of me cutting out my half sister

I never had much of a relationship with my old half-sister. She is in her late 40s and cut out my father from her life. I happened to find her on social media a few years ago and attempted to start a conversation with her. Besides learning what her likes and dislikes were, I also was trying to piece together what exactly had happened between her and my Dad. The short version? Drastic miscommunication on both of their parts as well as her being fed malicious lies from my Dad’s former wife (her mother) because she grew bitter about the divorce.

I noticed an unfortunate pattern as well with my half-sister (keep in mind, I’m in my late 20s right now, so there’s quite a big age difference between us). At first, I thought it was ger getting drunk and just unleashing all of her built-up rage against my father onto me, seemingly random in conversations. I brushed it to the side at first, we all have said things that we regret when we get drunk, right?

However, this didn’t stop, and it got more and more frequent (as well as different times during the day). I decided to message another relative of mine who had a friendly relationship with her. They claimed my half sister had a lot of unresolved problems with my Dad, which I could see and…
